One of my favorite movies is Love Actually. I usually watch it mostly during the holidays. The majority of my free time in November and December is spent hunkered down on the couch and watching that movie as if it’s the first time I ever saw it. The first time I ever did see it, I was pregnant with my second child (very early in my pregnancy) and it was nearing Christmas. I didn’t know anything about the movie really and went into it with no expectations. I left and was inexplicably touched by the stories of these characters and related to each one in some way.
I have been so busy lately and also and DVD playerless (the cats managed to knock if off the TV and it shattered into all kinds of mess) and haven’t taken the time to watch the movie (or replace the DVD player) but I recently joined Tumblr. It’s a blogging site that basically let’s me blog anything from photos, quotes, actual blogs, and basically just a bunch of randomness. It’s a new dumping ground for my strange thoughts and things that catch my eye and I think other people would like. I love it. Well, I came across a screen shot of one of my favorite scenes in the movie where the man is standing in front of this woman he is in love with with a sign that says “To me, you are perfect.” I think deep down we all want that. We want someone to truly feel that we are perfect, even when we aren’t. And we want to believe that even though we will never be perfect, they will still think the sun shines out of your ass. And of course, they won’t be perfect either. But hopefully the love you find in each other makes you strive to be perfect for each other each and every day. At the end of the day it’s not about “what can you do for me?” It’s about “what can I do for you?”
If you have someone in your life who is perfect to you, tell them. Your kids, your spouse, you pet, your mom, your friend…whoever.
And to you reading this….to me, you are perfect.

And to me, beautiful Bella, you are perfect.
I didn’t know about that movie. I guess I’ll check it out eventually.
Our cat, Mittens, did a mess too out of one of my sound system speakers. I got my speakers on top of a 6-foot tall shelf unit. She jumped up there, jump on one of the speakers, lost her balance and went down on the ground with it, breaking it. Those darn pets!
